Essential Support for a Brighter Future

Project Rudisha was founded in 2024 to support guides and porters in East Africa through scholarships and gear donations. The word ‘Rudisha’ means ‘give back’ in Swahili and it is our hope that we can give back to those who give so much on the mountain. We are committed to expanding our impact with additional scholarships and grants, hosting gear drives, and submitted all documents on April 17, 2025 to apply for 501(c)(3) nonprofit status.

RUDISHA PROGRAMS

Through scholarships and grants, Project Rudisha empowers guides and porters by funding educational opportunities and providing essential assistance during the off-season.

Enrichment grants from Project Rudisha support guides in launching businesses and fostering tourism by funding travel, networking, and resources to drive economic development.

Project Rudisha’s gear drives collect essential technical hiking gear to equip guides and porters for success in alpine mountain climates.
